Mission Statement

Our Mission:

The Mt. Zion Apostolic Church is called to raise the standard of God’s Kingdom over the city of Springfield, our nation, and the world.

The standard of his kingdom is to declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ and love all men regardless of any difference. Our church is open to all without exception.

We are commissioned to take a bold stand for ‘apostolic’ faith and practice and to be a prophetic voice crying in the wilderness of an anti-God generation.

The Vitality of the Great Commission

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”  (Matthew 28:19–20)

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:15–16)

The Great Commission is the church’s mandate to reach all of humanity with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is through the evangelistic efforts of the church that people are encouraged to abandon the life of sin and become Christ-followers. In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells His followers, “… ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Mt. Zion takes this commission very seriously, believing that God wants everyone to be saved. We engage in:

  • Risk-Taking Missions and Service
  • Personal Evangelism
  • Home Missions
  • Global Missions
